Effects of replacing fishmeal with pea protein concentrate on the growth and nutritional parameters of sea bream (Sparus aurata)

The use of pea protein concentrate as a fishmeal substitute was evaluated in juvenile seabream fish with an initial average weight of 52 g, fed four substitution levels: 0, 20, 40, and 60%. The experiment lasted 90 days, at the end of which the fish reached average weights per treatment of 153, 148, 145.5, and 126 g, respectively. The 60% substitution diet had the lowest instantaneous growth rate (IGR), and the 40% substitution diet had the best results. Regarding feed conversion ratio (FCR), the 60% substitution diet had the lowest results.Downloads
