Abstract

The objective of this study was to obtain an ideal feed composition to maintain growth, nutritional parameters, and body measurements in sea bream (Sparus aurata). Pea and rice flour were used as alternative raw materials, with the goal of maximizing the fishmeal substitution. Four different diets were formulated, in which fishmeal was replaced by the vegetable mixture at different levels: 0%, 30%, 60%, and 90%. These diets were offered to growing animals, starting the experiment with average weights of 38g and ending after 110 days with average weights of 140g. In conclusion, it was observed that the greater the substitution of fishmeal with the alternative diets, the lower the feed conversion ratio.
