The main purpose of this article is to present the aesthetics of self-referentiality as a methodological strategy, based on the construction of a written document and a body of plastic work as a record of the research-creation process. The research-creation process is supported by the referents of: Flusser (1994), Calabrese, (1994); The thinking hand of Pallasmaa (2012); Falcon (2010) and Contreras (2013). The set of works analyzed corresponds to: Questioning Children by Appel (1949), Self-portrait by Warhol (1986), Painting and sculpture Jungli Kowwa by Stella (1979), artists with their respective movements: informalism, pop art and abstract painting. The research method used was research-creation, from the studies of María José. For its part, the methodology was based on doing and practice, and the critical reflection of the subject that creates aesthetic experiences, who, in turn, is the center as an option for self-analysis. Among the results to be highlighted are: the structuring of a research-creation method for the construction of plastic work, incorporation of aesthetic phenomena (repetition and fragment) from a pictorial gesture, conscious stroke in plastic work.Downloads
